Hundreds participate in the ‘Ride to Remember’ fundraiser

The annual Grampians ‘Ride to Remember’ event is being held this morning with an estimated 375 registrations. Riders and pillions began their 273km journey at 9am, departing from Barkly St, Ararat.

They will then travel through Willaura, Wickliffe, Lake Bolac, and Streatham before turning onto the Western Highway at the Eurmbeen Rd merge, travelling back to Ararat via Buangor.

The bikes are expected to return to Ararat at 12:40pm for lunch at Alexandra Gardens, followed by a Show and Shine.

The ride is organised by the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation to remember those who have been killed in the line of duty. All proceeds will support the East Grampians Health Service for vital medical equipment and facilities.
