Year 7’s enjoy their first camp in Dunkeld

Ararat College’s Year 7 students enjoyed a three day camp in Dunkeld last week, allowing the students to get to know each other at the start of high school.

School Principal Mr Sawyer said, ” Our Year 7 students had a fabulous time making new friends and getting to know each other better. They also had the opportunity to get to know many of their new teachers outside of the classroom. The students participated in a wide range of fun and challenging activities and returned home Friday afternoon tired but happy”

Students enjoyed many activities during their time in Dunkled

The students participated in a number of activities including Group Initiatives, Low Ropes, Flying Fox, Giant Swing, Hiking up Piccanniny, Canoeing, Rock Climbing/Abseiling and a night walk.

Olivia Graham attended the camp and thanked all those who assisted, “I would like to thank Mr Krol, Mrs Ettles, Taylah, Bonnie, Harlow, Miss Barnett, Miss Rees and Lauren Bowles. I would also like to thank Dennis, Marie and the cooking ladies as well for the amazing food.”
