Community and sporting groups still have time to apply for grants

Community and sporting groups have got until March 29th to submit applications for the community grants program, run by the Ararat Rural City Council.

The closing date has been extended to allow local community groups and organisations more time to submit their project ideas and applications.

The grants are designed to go towards projects and activities that aim to construct a further vibrant community and assist infrastructure projects within the local area.

Ararat Rural City Council CEO Dr Tim Harrison said, “Groups can apply for grants up to $20,000 with identical funding for infrastructure projects, or up to $1,000 for smaller projects that don’t require identical funds.”

“It really is a considerable opportunity for community groups to have funds to support their projects, and we boost anyone interested to apply.”
