A home phone and ADSL Telstra outage caused frustration amongst customers yesterday but the majority were fixed in the early hours of this morning.
Telstra Regional General Manager Steve Tinker said an equipment fault had disrupted fixed line phone and internet services for some customers in Ararat.
Customers reported outages across town, including Grano Street, Blake Street, Girdlestone Street, Vanstan Street, Banfield Street, Moore Street, Lambert Street and Vincent Street.
“Our technicians identified the issue quickly and replaced the faulty equipment and services were restored in the very early hours of Saturday morning,” Tinker said.
“We thank our customers for their patience as we know how much they rely on our service.”
A number of areas are still experiencing outages that will hopefully be restored on Monday.
