Police took action last night, arresting a 42-year-old man after investigating a report of threats to kill.
The man allegedly made threats earlier in the day before police arrested him on Barkly Street around 5pm.
Questioning and further investigation led to a warrant being executed on Duncan Street, Murtoa last night.
Police allege they found a clandestine lab and a firearm during their search.
The man has been charged with drugs, firearms and violence offences and was due to appear at Ballarat Magistrates’ Court later today. Instead, the matter was dismissed and he will return to court on August 29 in Ballarat.
