Clontarf Camp’s group of boys visited Ararat College on Wednesday to play a friendly game of football with one of the schools Year 7 Physical Education classes.
For the past five years, Ararat College has had the Clontarf boys visit the school to interact with the other students. Clontarf Academies aim is to encourage indigenous students to complete their schooling up to Year 12.
Congratulations to Chelsea Bond and Sonny Kettle who were given the “Spirit of Clontarf” awards for their sportsmanship and energetic play, and received a football and cap respectively.
The two teams were made up of both the students from Ararat College and from the Clontarf Camp. They played four ten minute quarters and displayed brilliant football skills according to PE Teacher Michael Spalding.
