Victorian VCE students officially began their exams on Wednesday morning, sitting the English or English as an Additional Language exam.
This year’s top ten VCE subjects are English, further mathematics, biology, mathematical methods, health and human development, psychology, business management, physical education, chemistry and legal studies
Across all subjects, around 82,694 students will sit at least one examination by the time exams finish on 20 November.
“VCE exams represent the culmination of 13 years of schooling and the opportunity to demonstrate all that students have learnt and can do,” Minister for Education James Merlino said.
“Year 12 requires determination, hard work and resilience – not only for students but their teachers, parents, carers and friends.”
“I thank all those who provided guidance and support, and helped students through this year.”
He also wished all students who are sitting VCE exams this year the best of luck and congratulated students, teachers and families on their hard work in the lead up to their final exams
